What You Will Do:

As a Medical Lab Scientist II you will serve as a fully effective and participative member of a multidisciplinary patient care services team. You will be responsible for quality, efficiency and safety in the performance of all laboratory functions to include performing complex analyses on a variety of sample types, maintaining proper records and utilizing independent judgment to generate quality test results. You will also assist with development and modification of procedures within the specified clinical area and take action to correct observed risks to patient safety.


What You Need to Be Successful:

Proficient knowledge of clinical laboratory processes, analytical procedures, and various laboratory equipment including routine maintenance and calibration. Effective verbal and written communication skills.


A Bachelor’s degree and appropriate certification by a nationally recognized program, e.g. ASCP or equivalent is required. Two years of clinical laboratory experience in an accredited hospital or reference laboratory setting is also required.
