What You Will Do:

University of Maryland Medical Center, a Magnet-designated facility, is seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a desire to join our premier multidisciplinary team in the Surgical ICU. The Acute Care NP performs examination, evaluation, assessment and interpretation of clinical data to provide care to patients requiring a variety of medical interventions. This position will support continuity of patient treatment, patient flow and transfer protocols within the Surgical ICU. Professional practice is in conjunction with other NPs, intensivists, and physicians. Our 19-bed Surgical ICU serves as a referral center for patients in Maryland and beyond.


What You Need to Be Successful:

The successful candidate will have completed a Nurse Practitioner program, with acute care NP certification. Maryland licensure, and at least two years of critical care clinical experience is also necessary.
